Vinyl Expectations

Clear Vinyl Windows

Please note that while our clear vinyl provides excellent visibility and weather protection, it is not glass. The following guidelines will help ensure the longevity and proper function of your vinyl enclosure.

Important Usage & Care Guidelines

  • Appearance:
Clear vinyl may exhibit natural surface variations such as slight waves, ripples, dimples, or minor scuffs. These are normal characteristics of flexible vinyl and do not affect performance.
  • Wind Conditions:
Do not operate the enclosure during windy conditions. High winds can cause damage.
    • Recommended: Retract panels if winds exceed 50 mph.
  • Cleaning & Maintenance:
    • Clean the fabric and vinyl once a year using mild soap and water only. Avoid harsh chemicals (no Windex), as they can degrade the material.
    • Apply silicone spray to the zippers annually to maintain smooth operation.
    • Use IMAR wax on the vinyl surfaces quarterly to prevent sticking and ensure smooth movement.
  • Temperature Guidelines:
Avoid operating the vinyl system in temperatures below 40°F, as the material may become stiff and susceptible to cracking.
  • After Moisture or Rain:
Following periods of high humidity or rainfall, clear vinyl may appear foggy. Leave panels fully extended during daylight hours to allow the material to dry naturally and regain clarity.
Important Warranty Notice

Our clear vinyl products have been wind-tested for general use but are not wind-rated. Any damage resulting from wind exposure is not covered under the standard warranty.
